IAN'S IN-BETWEEN CADDIS
Hook : Kamasan B410 # 14 - 18
Thread : Uni-Thread 8/0 Yellow
Tail : Antron Yarn Tan
Body : Dryfly Dubbing Caddis Green
Wing : CDC (Cul-De-Canard)

Fly Tier: Ian Martin

Tying Instruction :

1) Tie on thread near bend of hook.
2) Wrap thread 1/3 of the way around the hook bend and dub a fat stubby section of green dubbing back to the where the hook bend starts.
3) Split a piece of Antron yarn in half. Take one half and singe one end.
4) Tie the Antron on to the hook so it forms a trailing shuck around the dubbed back section.
5) Take 4-6 CDC feathers and tie them on by their tips at the hook bend.
6) Dub a body with a slightly reversed taper, so that the fat end starts at the trailing shuck.
7) Pull the CDC feathers over the body and tie down with 2 wraps of thread.
8) Use a bodkin (needle) to form a loop in the CDC. Stick bodkin under the CDC and pull up.
9) Tie a neat head and leave a little CDC over hanging the hook eye.

Note :

Ian Martin gave this fly to me, unfortunately it has been fished, so it's probably not the best example. Maybe I can scrounge another one off of him?
