BWO CDC SOFT HACKLE EMERGER
Hook : Daiichi 1130 # 16 - 24
Thread : Uni-Thread 8/0 Olive
Tail : Poly Wing Material Amber
Rib : Fine Wire Gold
Body : Dryfly Dubbing Olive
Wing : CDC (Cul-De-Canard) White
Hackle : Hen Hackle Dun

Fly Tier: Andrew Cooper

Tying Instruction :

1) Tie on thread near hook eye and wrap back towards bend of hook.
2) Tie on tail.
3) Tie on ribbing material.
4) Dub a slender body and rib with tinsel.
5) Dub bulbous thorax.
6) Tie on CDC wing facing forward.
7) Tie in and wrap soft hackle collar.
8) Whip finish head.

Note :

This fly floats in the surface film nicely with the weight of the hook and the rib
dragging the tail and abdomen just beneath the surface, imitating an emerger
trapped in the surface film.

One can clip off the CDC wing streamside, and the fly becomes a good soft
hackle nymph.
