![]() Fly Tier: Lawson Devery |
|
Tying Instruction : 1) Glue on the body lead in the thorax position and shape to suit using a file or Exacta knife. 2) When body lead is firm and to its final shape coat this liberally with a coating of red head cement and leave to dry. 3) When thorax is completely dry wind on the tying thread from the downstream side of the body lead to about ¼ way around the bend of the hook. 4) Tie in the hackle stalk by its narrowest tip and wind 6 or so turns back up to the thorax. 5) Tie off the rib and coat the whole fly in a very thin film of 5-minute epoxy. Keep rotating the fly till the epoxy stiffens to ensure a nice even coating. Note : Most buzzers are effective when fished absolutely static perhaps with a slight twitch about once a fortnight. |
