Hook : Daiichi 1270 # 20 - 22

Thread : Gordon Griffiths 14/0 Olive

Bead : Glass Bead Black

Body : Midge Flash Olive

Ribbing : Fine Wire Black

Hackle : Starling Breast Feather

Fly Tier: Jason M. Franz

Tying Instruction :

1) Place bead on hook.
2) Tie on thread behind bead near eye of hook.
3) Tie on red krystal flash and wrap a smooth thread body back to bend of the hook and back to the base of bead.
4) Rib body with red krystal flash tie off.
5) Tie on Starling breast feather and make 2-4 wraps of hackle.
6) Tie off and whip finish behind bead

Note :

This fly was stuck on the end of a sewing needle with tacky wax to give you a perspective of its size… Very, very small!
