Hook : Daiichi 1270 # 20 - 24
Thread : Gordon Griffiths 14/0 Black
Bead : Glass Bead Silver
Tail : Starling Breast Feather
Body : Muskrat
Ribbing : Fine Wire Silver
Hackle : Starling Breast Feather

Fly Tier: Jason M. Franz


Tying Instruction :

1) Place bead on hook.
2) Tie on thread behind bead near eye of hook.
3) Tie on red wire and wrap a smooth thread body back to bend of the hook.
4) Tie on Starling breast feather fibers as tail.
5) Dub a smooth body back to base of bead.
6) Rib body with red wire and tie off.
7) Tie on Starling breast feather and make 2-4 wraps of hackle.
8) Tie off and whip finish behind bead



Note :

This fly was stuck on the end of a sewing needle with tacky wax to give you a perspective of its size… Very, very small!
